Resumen
Actualmente hombres y mujeres somos iguales para la legislación pero detrás de esta realidad existen concepciones sociales diversas. Con el paso del tiempo, queda evidenciado que el hecho de cometer un delito no ha sido categorizado o castigado por igual. Debido a la fuerte construcción social se han producido fuertes discrepancias en el marco jurídico, causando una división que continúa en nuestros días. En este trabajo se tratará de abordar el significado que ha tenido el delito con el paso de los años. Del mismo modo, se analizará el perfil de la población penitenciaria en la actualidad, centrándonos en las desigualdades existentes para las mujeres, prestando especial atención a cómo viven las internas su etapa en un centro penitenciario.
Finalmente, indagaremos en programas o proyectos a partir del trabajo social para contribuir a una igualdad más real en la situación que viven los y las internas en prisión.
Currently men and women are equal for the legislation but behind this reality there are diverse social conceptions. With the passage of the time, it is evidenced that the act of committing a crimE has not been categorized or punished equally. Due to the strong social construction there have been strong discrepancies in the legal framework, causing a division that continues in our days. In this paper we will try to approach the meaning that crime has had over the years. In the same way, the profile of the prison population will be analyzed at present, focusing on the existing inequalities for women, lending special attention to how the women inmates live their time in a penitentiary center. Finally, we will investigate programs or projects based on social work to contribute to a more real equality in the situation that women inmates live in prison.
