[ES] Las redes sociales se han convertido en una parte fundamental de la vida de la población, especialmente la
juvenil. Hoy en día es difícil vivir sin usarlas, ya que es el medio de comunicación principal. Por eso, es
necesario saber qué influencia tienen en las personas. El objetivo principal de esta revisión, es aclarar
qué influencia tienen las redes sociales en la autoestima y el autoconcepto de la población juvenil. Para
ello, se ha realizado una revisión de la literatura científica disponible en la base de datos Psycarticles,
mediante una serie de palabras clave. Esta revisión incluye un total de 10 artículos que cumplen con los
criterios de inclusión. Mediante el análisis de los artículos se ha concluido que el uso de las redes
sociales tiene consecuencias negativas para la autoestima y el autoconcepto de la población jóven,
influyendo principalmente en la percepción de la imagen corporal, sobre todo en las mujeres.
[EN] Social networks have become a fundamental part of the life of the population, especially the youth. Today it is difficult to live without using them, since it is the main means of communication. Therefore, it is necessary to know what influence they have on people.
