Resumen
El Síndrome de Down definido como una anomalía cromosómica causada por una
reproducción adicional del cromosoma 21, ocupa un papel muy importante en la actualidad.
Debido a sus características, necesitan materias adaptadas así como un aprendizaje emocional
específico, y en ocasiones muy individualizado, que enriquezca su mundo llegando a dominar
diversas situaciones cotidianas y la capacidad de desenvolverse con independencia y
autonomía en la sociedad. En el marco de la inclusión educativa, se propone identificar y
responder a la diversidad de las necesidades de todos los estudiantes a través de la mayor
participación en el aprendizaje, tomando la educación emocional como base de aprendizaje. En
este trabajo revisamos programas que están siendo utilizados para conseguir las metas
propuestas, así como se ofrece un resumen de los diferentes estudios actuales para poder seguir
avanzando en esta línea, optimizando el desarrollo de los niños y niñas con Síndrome de
Down.
Down syndrome defined as a chromosomal abnormality caused by a further reproduction of chromosome 21, it has a very important role today social, family and school level. Due to its characteristics, children with this syndrome need tailored materials and a specific emotional learning, and sometimes very individualized, to enrich his world coming to master various everyday situations and the ability to function with independence and autonomy in society. As part of the educational inclusion, it intends to identify and respond to the diverse needs of all students through increased participation in learning, cultures and communities, and emotional education as a basis for learning. In this work we review programs that are being used to achieve the proposed goals, and a summary of the various ongoing studies to further progress in this line is available, optimizing the overall development of children with Down Syndrome.
