Resumen
[ES] El acoso sexual callejero (ASC) se ha convertido en una de las manifestaciones de la violencia de género más expandida en los últimos años. Se produce cuando, principalmente un hombre o un grupo de hombres, comentan el aspecto físico de una mujer en un lugar público sin tener ningún tipo de relación con ellas y sin conocerla previamente; históricamente estos comentarios han sido denominados como “piropos”. Cómo las investigaciones sobre este tema son muy escasas, el presente ensayo se centra en estudiar la prevalencia del ASC en la localidad de Lucena (Córdoba); para ello se han analizado un total de 141 encuestas, con las que podremos ofrecer datos sobre la preeminencia de estas acciones en la ciudad. Es muy importante conocer esta realidad que puede generar otros problemas de salud en las víctimas y, además, que tiene la capacidad para originar otros tipos de violencia hacia las mujeres.
[EN] Street sexual harassment (CSA) has become one of the most widespread manifestations of gender-based violence in recent years. It occurs when a man or a group of men comment on the physical appearance of a woman in a public place without having any kind of relationship with her and without knowing her beforehand; historically, these comments have been called "piropos" (compliments). As research on this subject is very scarce, this essay focuses on studying the prevalence of ASC in the town of Lucena (Cordoba); for this purpose, a total of 141 surveys have been analysed, with which we can offer data on the pre-eminence of these actions in the city. It is very important to be aware of this reality which can generate other health problems in the victims and, furthermore, which has the capacity to give rise to other types of violence towards women.
