[ES] La terapia asistida con animales es un tipo de intervención de reciente aparición que ya ha
demostrado grandes avances en el ámbito psicológico, sanitario y educativo.
Aunque se hace necesaria la realización de más estudios, gran parte de los actuales han demostrado su eficacia en el mundo de la psiquiatría, con resultados relevantes en pacientes con ansiedad, psicosis o problemas sociales. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar la efectividad de un programa de intervención asistida con animales en personas con riesgo de padecer duelo complicado tras haber perdido a un familiar que recibió cuidados paliativos.
[EN] Animal-assisted therapy is a type of intervention of recent appearance that has already shown great advances in the psychological, health and educational fields. Although it is necessary to carry out more studies, a large part of the current ones have demonstrated its effectiveness in the world of psychiatry, with relevant results in patients with anxiety, psychosis or social problems. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of an animal-assisted intervention program in people at risk of suffering complicated grief after having lost a relative who received palliative care.
