Resumen
[ES]A partir de la simbiosis entre cine y psicología pretendemos acercar al lector a tan fructífera unión mediante la revisión filmográfica, bibliográfica y bibliométrica del trabajo del director canadiense David Cronenberg. Esbozaremos los orígenes de dicha relación para posteriormente mostrar el gran auge sufrido en las últimas décadas. Seguidamente abordaremos el concepto de “Nueva Carne” como hilo conductor del trabajo cronenbergiano donde plasmaremos las causas y pasos más frecuentes que llevan a los personajes a experimentar una gran variabilidad mental mediante la transformación sufrida por el cuerpo. Por último revisaremos en profundidad dos de sus películas; Videodrome y Spider, que servirán como ejemplo de lo abordado en el trabajo y como espejo de los diversos componentes psicológicos aparecidos en su filmografía.
[EN]From the symbiosis between film and psychology we intend to bring the reader as fruitful union through filmmaking, bibliographic and bibliometric review of the work of Canadian director David Cronenberg. Outline the origins of that relationship before showing the boom experienced in the last decades. Then we will discuss the concept of "New Flesh" as a thread of work which will shape Cronenbergian the most common causes and steps that lead the characters to experience great mental variability through the transformation undergone by the body. Finally we will review in depth two of his films; Videodrome and Spider, which will serve as an example of what I dealt with on the job and as a mirror of the various psychological components appeared in his films.
