Resumen
[ES] En este trabajo se aborda el estudio de la composición botánica de la dieta en cérvidos de ambiente mediterráneo, dando prioridad a especies herbáceas y pascícolas respecto a otras de mayor porte. Para ello, se utilizan diversos métodos basados en la técnica microhistológica, que permitan la obtención de cutículas foliares de diferentes especies vegetales. El objetivo es la realización de un catálogo, donde se representen las principales estructuras epidérmicas, y posteriormente, se utilicen como patrones comparativos para identificar los fragmentos vegetales hallados en heces o rumen. En este sentido, también se comprueba la efectividad del método de cuantificación y se incorporan claves de identificación (consistentes en medidas paramétricas e ilustraciones). Con todo ello, se pretende contribuir a la mejora en la gestión de espacios naturales y cinegéticos, a través del conocimiento de las interacciones intra- e interespecíficas, como posibles mecanismos de selección de hábitat y alimento.
[EN] In this work, the study of the botanical composition of the diets in cervids of Mediterraneam environment is approached, giving priority to herbaceous and pascicolas species with respect to others of greater size. For this, several methods based on the microhistological technique are used, wich allow obtaining foliar cuticles of different vegetable species. The objective is the realization of a catalog, where the main epidermal structures are represented, and later, they are used as comparative patterns to identify the plant fragments found in faeces or rumen. In this sense, the effectiveness of the quantification method is also verified and identification keys are incorporated (consisting of parametric measurements and ilustrations). With all this, it is intended to contribute to the improvement in the management of natural and hunting áreas, through the knowledge of intra- and interspecific interactions, as possible mechanisms of habitat and food selection.
