The elderly population has been risen due to two factors, life expectancy incrementation, and low birth rate, furthermore, taking into account the experts' prediction, it will further rise. This increment affects, among other factors, to countries’ economies, such as in our case, Spain. Besides, one of the main features of this kind of population is that their dependency level is higher as they age. A key tool to provide information over the aging process in elderly people is daily life activities. Using the information, their independence, and functional capacity levels can be assessed. Therefore, a systematic review of the elders’ functional capacity is carried out during aging.
