Resumen
[ES]este trabajo pretende presentar de forma resumida el tratamiento
que la historiografía a lo largo de los años ha dado a la 1º Guerra Mundial, además de
analizar brevemente el tratamiento que se le da al tema en las aulas de secundaria y su
utilidad para el alumnado de esta etapa. Tras ello, se ha creado una propuesta de Unidad
Didáctica, enfocada al alumnado de 1º de Bachillerato, basada en una metodología
activa por parte de este, como es el aprendizaje por descubrimiento, ya no solo para
que conozca en mayor profundidad la Gran Guerra, sino para que reflexione sobre las
guerras en general y se fomente la construcción de paz.

[EN]This work aims to summarize the treatment that historiography over the years has given to the 1st World War, as well as briefly analyze the treatment given to the subject in secondary school classrooms and its usefulness for students of this stage. After that, it is created a proposal for a Didactic Unit, focused on students of the 1st year of Bachillerato, based on an active methodology on the part of the latter, such as learning by discovery, and not only to learn more about the Great War, but to reflect on wars in general and to promote the construction of peace.
