The objective of this paper is to analyze sedentary behavior in Early Childhood Education students, according to gender and time of day; and, create a practical proposal to increase physical activity. A total of 73 primary school children (36 boys and 37 girls) were selected. Participants for 7 consecutive days wore the accelerometer Actigraph GT3X (Actigraph, Pensacola, FL, USA), which records the level of physical activity in (School hours vs After-school hours). The results indicate that there are no differences according to gender and that there is a greater sedentary behavior in school hours. Based on these results, a didactic proposal is generated, called "I move", which promotes the increase of physical activity in the children’s center. It´s concluded that, students of the first cycle of Early Childhood Education show a more sedentary behavior in the school hours and that, with didactic proposals like "I move" can reverse this effect.
