Resumen
El siguiente trabajo tiene como objetivo conocer la adquisición de la identidad de género en las personas transexuales, teniendo en cuenta dos perspectivas opuestas, como son las teorías patológicas y las socioculturales.
Este trabajo se centra en las personas transexuales durante las etapas de la infancia y adolescencia, destacando la edad a la que los niños y niñas pueden darse cuenta de su identidad de género, las señales para reconocer esto y el tratamiento hormonal al que se someten o pueden someterse numerosos/as adolescentes.
Además, se subraya la influencia e importancia del ámbito familiar, ya que, este es el apoyo esencial y fundamental del/a menor, siendo básico para que este/a tenga un desarrollo adecuado.
The following work aims to know the acquisition of gender identity in transsexual people, taking into account two opposing perspectives, such as pathological and sociocultural theories.
