Resumen
[ES] La Terapia de Presión Negativa es un método no farmacológico y no invasivo que ejerce una presión negativa controlada sobre la lesión, provocando así su deformación de manera uniforme. Esta presión es proporcionada por una bomba de vacío conectada a una fuente de alimentación eléctrica que oprime un apósito de manera continua o intermitente con la finalidad de promover la curación de lesiones tanto crónicas como agudas. El objetivo de este trabajo es comprobar la eficacia del uso de la terapia de presión negativa en la cura de heridas, así como conocer el impacto que supone en la calidad de vida de los pacientes, la relación coste-beneficio e indicaciones terapéuticas.
[EN] The Negative Pressure Wound Therapy is a non-pharmacological and non-invasive method that exerts a controlled negative pressure on the injury, thus causing its deformation uniformly. This pressure is provided by a vacuum pump connected to an electrical power source which presses a dressing continuously or intermittently in order to promote the healing of both chronic and acute injuries. The aim of this work is verify the efficacy of the use of The Negative Pressure Wound Therapy in wound healing, as well as to know the impact on patients' quality of life, cost-benefit relation and therapeutic indications.
