Resumen
La Orientación Educativa es un mecanismo de ayuda a los alumnos en su proceso de desarrollo académico y profesional y constituye un factor de calidad de nuestro sistema educativo. La Orientación contribuye a proporcionar al alumnado una educación integral en conocimientos, destrezas y valores y los prepara para responder a los retos de una sociedad compleja, dotándoles de unas competencias que les facilite adecuarse a los cambios y transformaciones en todos los ámbitos de su desarrollo. La orientación pues, no debe dejarse al libre ejercicio de los centros docentes, sino que debe responder a un ejercicio de reflexión y planificación, desde la determinación de unos objetivos, a partir de un análisis de necesidades y de la programación de unas actividades concretas, es decir, a través de una programación de un plan de actividades, actuaciones o intervenciones del
Departamento de Orientación. Siguiendo este modelo de orientación, conseguiremos que la educación de nuestro alumnado se base en actividades anticipatorias encaminadas a prevenir problemas o afrontarlos de forma precoz, huyendo de la libre improvisación, ya que la orientación debe ser una actividad sistemática y preventiva.
Educational guidance is a mechanism to assist the students in the process of academic and professional development and is a quality factor of our education system. The guidance helps to provide students with comprehensive education on knowledge, skills and values and prepares them to meet the challenges of a complex society, providing them with skills that provide them adapt to changes and transformations in all spheres of development. The guidance therefore should not be left to the free exercise of schools, but must respond to an exercise of reflection and planning, from determining objectives, based on a needs analysis and planning of some specific activities, through a program of a business plan, actions or interventions of the Guidance Department. Following this model guidance, we will make the education of our students is based on proactive activities designed to prevent or handle problems early, running from the free improvisation, and that guidance should be a systematic and preventive.
