Efectividad del drenaje linfático manual en linfedema tras cirugía del cáncer de mama en mujeres. Revisión sistemática.

Resumen
[ES] Objetivo: analizar la efectividad del drenaje linfático manual en el tratamiento y prevención del linfedema secundario a una mastectomía en mujeres.
Material y métodos: revisión sistemática de ensayos clínicos. Las investigaciones se llevaron a cabo en las bases de datos Pubmed, Scopus, Science direct y Proquest. Se incluyeron los artículos que hablaban del tratamiento para el linfedema secundario a una mastectomía a través del drenaje linfático manual (terapia principal o complementaria), con una antigüedad máxima de 5 años, a texto completo y que fueran publicados en español o inglés.
Resultados: después de la revisión observamos que los tratamientos que emplean drenaje linfático manual producía mejora a corto plazo o largo plazo. Se obtienen mejores resultados cuando se aplica en combinación con otra técnica.
Conclusión: la combinación del drenaje linfático manual junto con otras técnicas terapéuticas es efectivo tanto en los tratamientos de prevención como de reducción del linfedema tras mastectomía.
