Resumen
[ES] La idea de democracia fue concebida en la antigua Grecia por
gente que sobrevivieron a tiempos de crisis y que estaban en
contra de la tiranía. Esta idea fue adoptada por los Romanos,
quienes la desarrollaron organizando un estado gobernado por
ciudadanos electos que accedían a la política. Instituciones como
el tribunado de la plebe fueron fundamentales para la evolución de
los derechos del individuo. Siendo las asambleas populares cuna
de la actividad legislativa, los magistrados también tenían
capacidad creadora de derecho. La corrupción estaba presente por
su reflejo en las leyes que la prohibían. La democracia actual no
tiene comparación, claro el viejo sistema existió en otro contexto
histórico y otra forma de estado.
[EN] The idea of democracy was born by the Greeks, by people who survive crisis times and they were against the tyranny. This idea was adopt by the Romans, who developed it. They create a state ruled by the citizens that they were elected by the people to start a politic career. The institutions like the tribunate of the plebs was a very important piece to the evolution of the people’s rights. Being the popular assemblies the principal instrument to create rules, the magistrates also had the same capacity. The corruption was current at those days reflected by the rules that they banned. The actual democracy have not comparison, also the old system existed in other historical context and for other style of govern.
