[EN] Objective: Identify, assess critically and gather main evidences currently available on the effectiveness of physiotherapy in patients diagnosed with tension headache. Material and method: A literature search in PEDro, SCOPUS y PUBMED databases with the keywords ‘’Headache tension’’, ‘’Physiotherapy’’, ‘’Manual therapy’’ y ‘’Physical therapy’’ was performed. Clinical trials in Spanish or English, with patients of any sex or age, diagnosed with tension headache were included in this review. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed with the scales PEDro and Jadad. Results: After the revision and localization of 1407 articles, finally 8 of them were analysed according to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. All of them were classified into three groups according to the type of physiotherapy intervention applied using the following procedures: electroacupuncture, manual therapy and tigger points. Conclusions: This systematic review found limited evidence of the effectiveness of electroacupuncture in headache tension, solid evidence of the effectiveness of manual therapy in the treatment of headache tension and moderate evidence of the effectiveness of the treatment of tigger points in order to solve this pathology.
