(EN) Bullying is a social phenomenon which involves repeated and intentional mistreatment from one student to another and that affects one in four children in Europe. It’s important to find it early by the use of easy-to-use questionnaires, scales and psychometric inventories, as well as to prevent it through programs based on the education of schoolchildren and to inform families and educational centre about the consequences and the most effective forms of intervention to face a real case of bullying. Therefore, it’s important first to know what we are dealing with, so it’s also essential to know the difference between a real case of school bullying and other conflicts between peers, in which groups to be bully is more common, different ways of manifestation of bullying, the characteristics of victims and bullies and what are the risk factors, as well as the consequences of victimization which reveals a necessary effective prevention.
