[EN] Over time, there are numerous transformations that our society has undergone. These changes have influenced the way we perceive different factors in our daily lives, thus giving rise to new ways of life. Specifically in Spain, these variations have occurred unevenly, that is, they have not had the same impact on the different cultural groups that make up said society, including the Roma ethnic group. One of these changes has been regarding the conception of the importance of education for Roma students, in which only approximately 18% complete their studies. However, education has been recovering more and more relevance despite the fact that, nowadays, a law has not been created in Spain in order to alleviate the gypsy-school conciliation. The main objective of this research is to identify and analyze the possible barriers that hinder the gypsyschool relationship. For this, a qualitative study will be carried out in the province of Jaén with a representative percentage of the Roma population. Specifically, both Roma families and teachers who work with Roma students have been surveyed / interviewed and, finally, various results have been obtained. The study determined that currently the Roma population responds positively to the educational system, and that their image of education has been changing at the same rate as many of their customs, as is the case with society in general. Despite this, there is still much to do to raise awareness of this importance and to eradicate barriers such as prejudice and rejection of the Roma people.
