The unique internal spatial arrangement of the settlements of the Northwest hillfort culture is one of the most striking features of this culture. However, it has also been a secondary element when trying to deepen knowledge about this peninsular territory. To a large extent, this organization of the built space is defined by the use of the circular plan in the housing structures, configuring a chaotic and little rationalized urban planning. Over the centuries, this will evolve towards more orthogonal and organized models fostered by Romanization after the change of Era, maintaining the circular shapes as the survival of indigenous patterns.
