[EN]The aim of this research has been to analyze the differences between winners and losers of the match, set, game and point in the use of serve return in elite tennis players on fast surface. A total of 1440 serve returns, performed during the Male Masters’ Tennis Cup indoor, have been analyzed. Differences between winner and loser of the match, set, game and point have been determined by: type of stroke, hit zone, bounce area and type of continuity. The results show, first of all, that there are more possibilities of winning the match, set and game using the one-handed backhand in the serve return. There are more options of success in the match, set and point when the serve return is carried out near the baseline. The possibility of succeeding in the match, set, game and point increases when the ball hits approximates the baseline on the left side of the court. Finally, the continuity in the serve return provides more chances to win the match, set, game and point. This type of research contributes to the specific practice of top tennis players on fast surfaces.
