Prostitución en España. Aproximación a la realidad de las mujeres prostituidas

Abstract

La prostitución ha sido a lo largo de toda la historia una de las herramientas más significativas que han utilizado los seres humanos para entender las relaciones sexuales. Este consumo de prostitución ha recaído sobre la figura de la mujer y es por ello que haremos referencia en gran parte del trabajo a las mujeres que han sido prostituidas. España es uno de los principales países a nivel europeo en consumir prostitución, aun así, la realidad es que no existe una regulación a nivel institucional que dé respuesta a esta problemática social que engloba a miles de mujeres en nuestro país. El presente trabajo pretende contextualizar la realidad de las mujeres prostituidas desde la antigua Mesopotamia hasta la actualidad. Abordando, cuáles han sido las diferentes políticas que se han desarrollado para regular dicha práctica. Analizaremos cuáles son los pilares sobre los que se sustenta la prostitución en las sociedades contemporáneasProstitution has been one of the most significant tools that human beings have used to understand sexual relations throughout history. Traditionally, the consumption of prostitution has fallen on the figure of women, that is, the main victim of prostitution is female gender. Hence, in much of the study we refer to this gender that has suffered from the effects of prostitution. As it can be seen in the following lines, Spain is one of the main countries in consuming prostitution at the European level. However, there is no regulation at the institutional level which controls this social problem which affects thousands and thousands of women in our country. This paper aims to contextualize the real situation of prostituted women from ancient Mesopotamia to the present. The study addresses the different developed policies to regulate this social problem, and examines the pillars on which prostitution is based in contemporary societies
