El trabajo desarrollado se basa en un acercamiento al conocimiento de la deficiencia auditiva en la infancia y su vinculación con el trabajo social. En primer lugar, se analiza el concepto de infancia y discapacidad así como se lleva a cabo un breve recorrido histórico sobre su construcción social. Posteriormente, se lleva a cabo el uso de la metodología cualitativa utilizando como técnica la entrevista, con la finalidad de conocer la realidad social de manera más cercana y veraz de las personas con deficiencia auditiva y sus familias así como la involucración y aportaciones que tiene la disciplina del trabajo social con este colectivo
The work developed is based on an approach to the knowledge of hearing impairment in childhood and its link with social work. Firstly, the concept of childhood and disability is analysed and a brief historical overview of its social construction is carried out. Subsequently, the use of qualitative methodology is carried out using the interview technique, with the aim of getting to know the social reality of people with hearing impairment and their families more closely and truthfully, as well as the involvement and contributions of the discipline of social work with this group
