La inteligencia emocional y el compromiso organizacional de los empleados

Resumen
El trabajo tiene como objetivo comprobar si existe la relación entre la Inteligencia Emocional y el Compromiso Organizacional de los empleados. Para ello, en primer lugar, se ha realizado un análisis teórico sobre la Inteligencia Emocional (IE) y el Compromiso Organizacional (CO), así como de sus principales repercusiones en el ámbito laboral. Posteriormente se lleva a cabo una investigación con 230 empleados pertenecientes a diferentes empresas y organizaciones de Andalucía. Para evaluar la Inteligencia Emocional se ha utilizado la Work Group Emotional Intelligence Scale Short (WEIP-S; Jordan, Murray y Lawrence, 2009). Y para medir el componente Afectivo del Compromiso se ha usado la Organizational Commitment Scale (OCS; Allen y Meyer, 1990). Los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifiesto que la IE afecta de manera positiva al CO afectivo de los empleados, de tal forma que las personas emocionalmente inteligentes tienden a estar más comprometidos afectivamente con sus organizaciones. Por último, se discuten estos resultados y se plantean sugerencias para futuras investigaciones.
The Work aims to verify if thereis a relationship between the Emotional Intelligence (EI) and the Organizational Commitment (OC) of employees. To do this, first of all, a theoretical analysis has been carried out about the Emotional Intelligence and the Organizational Commitment, as well as its main repercussions in the labor sphere. Later, an investigation is carried out with 230 employees from different companies and organisations from Andalucía. To evaluate the Emotional Intelligence a Workgroup Emotional Intelligence Scale Short (WEIP-S; Jordan, Murray y Lawrence, 2009) has been used and to measure the Organizational Commitment an Organizational Commitment Scale (OMS; Allen y Meyer, 1990) has beenused. The results of there search indicate that the EI affects positively to the OC of employees, for this reason the emotionally intelligent people are more committed in their organisations.
