Resumen
El presente trabajo constituye un repaso bibliográfico sobre el concepto de ansiedad, sus tipos, los componentes que la integran, los efectos que produce en el rendimiento académico y en el aprendizaje, las fuentes o causas que la producen y por último, implicaciones didácticas. Se diferencia entre distintos elementos relacionados como son el estrés, la angustia y el miedo. También se discute los diferentes efectos negativos y positivos de la ansiedad en el aprendizaje y de las distintas destrezas básicas de la lengua extranjera (listening, speaking, reading y writing). Para finalizar se describen diversos aspectos que a nivel didáctico el docente de lenguas extranjeras debería tener en cuenta, para prevenir y reducir la ansiedad ante el aprendizaje de idiomas.
This project contains a bibliography overview about the concept of anxiety, the different kinds of anxiety, its components, the effects anxiety causes on the academic performance and on the learning process, its sources and finally, pedagogical implications. Also there are differences between anxiety and other related feelings such as stress, anguish and fear. The different negative and positive effects of anxiety on the learning process of general education and on the basic skills of foreign language (listening, speaking, reading and writing). To sum up, many didactic aspects are described in this project which teachers can use to reduce or avoid anxiety in the foreign language learning.
