La cuestión de la arquitectura y el turismo en la configuración de la ciudad posmoderna: el caso de Málaga

Abstract

En el presente trabajo nos centraremos en la influencia que el fenómeno turístico generó en la ciudad de Málaga materializándose a través de la arquitectura y el urbanismo, dando lugar a una gran transformación tanto en el ámbito urbano como social. Por un lado, abordaremos una evolución histórica de su urbanismo destacando las centurias más sobresalientes de la ciudad para finalmente analizar el cambio que ha sufrido la ciudad a lo largo de la historia. Por otro lado, construiremos un tema basado en la imagen actual de la ciudad a consecuencia del turismo y la arquitectura posmoderna que conforman la nueva identidad con la que se caracteriza la ciudad. En este orden, se hará mención a la conservación de la ciudad y su patrimonio arquitectónico como un recurso que asegura el desarrollo económico y local de manera sostenible, y la creación de museos como representantes del nuevo turismo cultural. Todo ello se confirmaría con una selección de algunos modelos de nuestro caso.

In this work, we have to focus about the influence that the tourism phenomenon created in Malaga city becomes a reality through architecture and urban planning by giving room to big transformation in urban terms like social. On the one hand, we’ll tackle an historical urban planning evolution highlightinging the protruding centuries of the city and analize the city’s change throughout history. On the other hand, we’ll build a subject which is based on the actual appearance of the city as a result of tourism and postmodern architecture which define the new characteristic identity of the city. Along the same lines, we shall mention this fact about maintenance of the city and their architectural heritage as a resource which guarantees economic and local long-term sustainable development and the establishment of museums representatives of cultural tourism. All of this will be confirmed with a selection of some models of our case.
