ABORDAJE DE ENFERMERÍA TRANSCULTURAL; COMPETENCIA DE CUIDADOS

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo es una revisión bibliográfica narrativa sobre el abordaje de la enfermería transcultural por el personal de enfermería. Con él se quiere conocer cómo se aborda la competencia en cuidados desde la enfermería transcultural, indagando en las demandas que plantean los profesionales, las necesidades del paciente, en los beneficios que se obtienen y la aplicación práctica real. Se ha realizado una búsqueda bibliográfica a través de la biblioteca virtual de la Universidad de Jaén en las bases de Cuiden Plus, Medline y CINHAL.Los resultados muestran la percepción del personal de enfermería sobre los pacientes de diferentes culturas y viceversa, las barreras que se encuentran, la necesidad de competencia cultural en cuidados para que sean apropiados, el papel del mediador cultural y el déficit de formación e investigación. Como conclusión se resalta la necesidad de formación e investigación para realizar planes de cuidados acordes a las necesidades del paciente

[EN] This work is a narrative bibliographic review about the approach of the transcultural nursing by the nurses. With it, we want to know how competency is given in care from transcultural nursing, investigating the demands of the professionals, the patient´s needs, the benefits for the patient and the actual practical application. A bibliographic search has been done through the virtual library of the University of Jaén in databases such as Cuiden Plus, Medline and CINHAL. The results show the perception that nurses have about their patients from different cultures and, contrary,the barriers that exist, the need of cultural competence in care in order to be coherent, the role of the cultural mediator and the lack of training and research. As conclusion, it is important the training and research to do plans of care coherent with the patients´s needs.
