El inglés en el contexto de las lenguas germánicas

Abstract

Este trabajo trata sobre la evolución del inglés a lo largo de la historia. El inglés es un idioma mundialmente hablado. A lo largo de los diferentes puntos tratados en el trabajo se hablará de distintos aspectos de este idioma. El trabajo hablará de las lenguas antecesoras al inglés, y también de las diferentes etapas que han tenido lugar a lo largo de los años y el lugar que ocupa este idioma dentro del conjunto de lenguas germánicas. Trataré de explicar el origen del idioma, explicando cómo desciende de la que es considerada la lengua madre de todas las lenguas del filo indoeuropeo. Al igual que el resto de idiomas, el inglés ha sufrido cambios de todo tipo: fonéticos, sintácticos, morfológicos, etc. Al ser el inglés un idioma tan extendido a lo largo de todo el mundo, muchos países reciben influencia de él, tanto que ciertas palabras de origen inglés son aceptadas como propias por diccionarios de otras lenguas. Lo mismo ocurre en el ámbito contrario, muchas lenguas han influido en el inglés. Esto se debe, en gran parte, a las diferentes invasiones que Inglaterra sufrió a lo largo de la historia. El objetivo de este trabajo es explicar cómo el que se considera uno de los idiomas más importantes del mundo, ha llegado a ser tal, y explicar, en cierta medida, su desarrollo a lo largo de los años.

This End of Bachelor Degree Project deals with the evolution of the English language throughout History. The English language is speaking all over the world. Throughout the different contents of this Project it will be discuss the various aspects of the language. The project deal with the ancestor languages of English, and also about the stages that have taken place among the history and the place that this language has in the Germanic languages group. I’m going to explain, in certain way, how it descends from the language that is considered the mother of all the languages of the Indoeuropean phylum. As other languages, English has suffered changes, and these changes are of all kinds: phonetics changes, syntactic changes, morphological changes and so on. Being the English a language really extended among the world, lots of countries receive influence from it, so much that certain words which has English origin are accepted as their own by dictionaries of other languages. The same applies in the opposite sphere, lot of languages have influenced the English. This is due, largely, to the different invasions that England suffered in the past. The aim of this project is explain 5 how, which is considered one of the most important languages in the world, has become such, and explain, to some extent, its development over the years.
