Immersing the 4th of Primary Education pupils into the Ancient Egypt society through an engaging thread. A CLIL didactic proposal.

Abstract

(EN)In this Master's Thesis, a didactic proposal has been designed with the aim of demonstrating that it is possible to integrate Project-Based Learning (PBL) in Content and Language Integrating Learning (CLIL). Specifically, this proposal will focus on working on the contents of Ancient Egypt with the pupils of fourth grade. Before moving on to the description of the project, in the first part of this work, we will find a theoretical framework that will outline the conceptual basis. In the second part, the Didactic unit is described, covering both legal aspects and various activities with the content and language objectives to be achieved. Through manipulative activities, cooperative work and a thread based on the pupils’ interest, learners will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture, society and history of Ancient Egypt. Finally, this proposal will be analysed in the conclusions section in which its strengths, weaknesses and future aspects that must be dealt with greater depth are highlighted.

(ES)En este Trabajo de fin de Master se ha diseñado una propuesta didáctica con el objetivo de mostrar que es posible integrar el Aprendizaje basado por Proyectos (PBL) en CLIL. En concreto, esta propuesta estará diseñada para trabajar los contenidos del Antiguo Egipto con el alumnado de cuarto de Primaria. Antes de pasar a la descripción del proyecto, en la primera parte de este trabajo, nos encontraremos con un marco teórico que delineará las bases conceptuales de este proyecto. En la segunda parte de este trabajo se describe la Unidad Didáctica abarcando tanto aspectos legales como diversas actividades para trabajar junto con los objetivos de contenido y lenguaje que se quieren alcanzar. A través de actividades manipulativas, trabajo cooperativo y un hilo conductor basado en los intereses del alumnado, tendrán la oportunidad de sumergirse en la cultura, sociedad e historia del Antiguo Egipto. Para finalizar, esta propuesta será analizada en el apartado de conclusiones resaltando sus puntos fuertes, puntos débiles y futuros aspectos en los que profundizar en un futuro.
