“IF RENEWABLE ENERGY IS SO GREAT, WHY AREN’T WE USING IT ALL THE TIME?”: A CLIL PROPOSAL FOR STEAM-BASED SUBJECTS

Abstract

(ES)No El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster pretende sintetizar todos los conocimientos adquiridos en el Máster Interuniversitario en Enseñanza Bilingüe y Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lenguas Extranjeras (MIEB). Para ello, tras el desarrollo de un marco teórico contextualizador de la enseñanza AICLE y su aplicación en las asignaturas STEAM en España, se ha diseñado una unidad didáctica AICLE para la asignatura de Tecnología en 3o ESO, llamada “If renewable energy is so great, why aren’t we using it all the time?”. Esta unidad, a través de la enseñanza CLIL, introducirá los contenidos de la generación de energía y pretende que el alumnado conozca tanto las características técnicas de los distintos métodos de generación de energía como sus aspectos sociales, con el objetivo de que los estudiantes desarrollen una opinión crítica del uso de cada una de ellas y el impacto que tienen en la sociedad y el medio ambiente.

(EN)This Master's Dissertation aims to synthesize all the knowledge acquired in the Intercollegiate Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education and Content and Language Integrated Learning (MIEB). For this, after the development of a theoretical framework for CLIL teaching and its application in STEAM subjects in Spain, a CLIL didactic unit has been designed for the Tecnología subject in the 3rd year of ESO, called "If renewable energy is so great, why aren't we using it all the time? This CLIL unit will introduce the contents of energy generation and aims for students to know both the technical characteristics of the different energy generation methods and their social aspects, with the aim that students develop a critical opinion of the use of each of them and the impact they have on society and the environment.
