Abstract: | [ES]Introducción: La sociedad cada vez está más envejecida, y va en aumento el número de personas
dependientes y con enfermedades crónicas, al igual que las personas cuidadoras informales. Las
personas con Alzheimer, la causa más común de demencia, enfermedad neurodegenerativa, 800.000
personas en España, requieren un cuidador para realizar sus actividades de la vida diaria. El perfil de
cuidador es mujer y familiar de la persona dependiente. El proceso de cuidado tiene un impacto en la
vida del cuidador que afecta a su salud. Los objetivos de este estudio son explorar las vivencias y
calidad de vida de cuidadores/as de mayores con Alzheimer de la provincia de Jaén, identificar las
dificultades o problemas en el proceso de cuidado, conocer el impacto en el bienestar físico,
psicológico y social de las cuidadoras y definir las demandas de las cuidadoras al sistema
sociosanitario y evaluar su calidad de vida. Metodología: El diseño del estudio será metodología
mixta, cualitativa de tipo fenomenológico, se harán entrevistas semiestructuradas en profundidad, y
cuantitativa, estudio observacional, descriptivo, transversal, mediante el análisis del Cuestionario de
Calidad de Vida de los Cuidadores Informales ICUB97, y se utilizarán aplicaciones informáticas,
SSPS, Microsoft Excel, su duración será de doce meses. La población diana será personas
cuidadoras informales de mayores con alzhéimer de la provincia de Jaén y la población de estudio
será personas cuidadoras informales de mayores con alzhéimer del centro de salud San Felipe de
Jaén. La muestra se seleccionará con muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. La aplicabilidad
será visibilizar a este colectivo, para intervenir, ofrecer información, recursos, prevenir futuras
enfermedades y mejorar su calidad de vida.
